The Trade Desk
The Trade Desk is a media buying platform based in New York. Our founder, Alex, was commissioned when he was at MerchantCantos. It was a 5-day shoot in Shanghai, Beijing, and Hong Kong, featuring on-set filming and photography that highlighted the modern Chinese consumer scene and their relationship with technology.
With decades of experience filming and living in the region, Alex has extensive knowledge and resources to identify and capture the most symbolic scenarios in modern China and to highlight the key stats that correspond to the video's main idea.
Following an enjoyable collaboration, The Trade Desk also commissioned Taipan Media for its second China shoot. The shoot was over three days with a crew of more than 30 people, including the director, producer, photographer, prop and art team, wardrobe team, hair and makeup artist, three camera crews and lighting team.
During some panel discussion video sessions, simultaneous translation booths were set up to ensure smooth communication between the panellists. The Taipan Media team worked on the post-production in Hong Kong to ensure a sound and smooth video.
